Bolton Castle
Bolton Castle is one of the best‑preserved medieval fortresses in England, once home to its most famous guest—Mary Queen of Scots, who was held there in 1568. Today it’s a brilliant day out, packed with glimpses of medieval life: wander through the Old Kitchens, Dungeon, Solar, Nursery, Armoury, Great Chamber and even Mary’s bedroom. Alongside exploring the castle, you can enjoy falconry displays and even have a go at archery!
Our trip will also include a delicious lunch at the Redmire Village Pub.
