Marking its historic opening in 1876, the Settle to Carlisle line celebrated its 150th anniversary with a special offer, passengers could travel the entire route for just £1.50.

As one of England’s most scenic and iconic railways, the line’s dramatic landscapes and beautifully preserved stations set the scene for a fabulous day to remember.

The group travelled across the iconic Ribblehead Viaduct in glorious sunshine, enjoying views of the Yorkshire Dales before continuing on to Appleby in Westmorland. It was a relaxing, memorable journey, made even better by the stunning weather and spectacular scenery.
