Mayor's Award of appreciation & thanks

Craft and Social were delighted to have received an award in recognition of our contribution to the community of Knaresborough, by creating a silhouette tribute to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of VE day and for making batons for the Mayors new volunteer tour guides.

Gareth and David attended the Annual Meeting of Knaresborough Town Council on Thursday 22 May, when the new mayor for the coming civic year was elected.

During the evening, Craft and Social were also presented with a Special Arts Award, having been nominated by Ryan Threlfall.

The Special Arts Award came about following the filming of the new film ‘Tinsel Town’ in Knaresborough at the start of the year.  As a thank you to the Clerk of Knaresborough Town Council for the support given to the film company KTC was given £1000. KTC decided that they’d like to give this money in the form of 10 x £100 Special Arts Awards to individuals or projects supporting art and creativity in our town.

We were very happy to have been informed that we had been selected to be awarded the £100 Special Arts Award.
